What’s in my bag | Hampton Roads, VA Photographer

Recently I’ve received a few emails asking about what lenses I have used for different photos, or what camera body I shoot with, so I figured I’d just make a blog and show ya 😉

Below you’ll see a photo of a D600, however since this blog post I have upgraded to TWO D610’s 🙂 Just like with the D600, I use a battery grip for long events, such as weddings. Extra battery = extra liiiiife  (JUST Incase). It also has a shutter  button on it, so I am able to hold and shoot from a different camera angle. Pretty nifty.

This 105mm is a Micro lens. PERFECT for details. And omg, it creates beautiful portraits as well. Creamy, dreamy bokeh! Facebook_0044This 50mm was my very first lens outside of a kit lens. I do not use it much at all. lol BUT it gave me great stuff. I plan on upgrading to a 1.4 in the future. For now, I don’t necessarily need it. And ya should not blow money on something ya don’t need… unless of course you have the money to blow? hahaFacebook_0045THIS IS A BEAST! My 70-200mm 2.8… It’s heavy, and annoying sometimes, but boy does it produce AMAZING portraits!! <3 I am a prime gal, but this sexy thing is amazing.Facebook_0046This is my FAVORITE lens right now. I photograph a lot of lifestyle shots of families and this wide lens just helps tell a story. Its a 35mm 1.4 and is made by Sigma. This is the only lens I own that is not Nikon brand, but I did my research and this one is just as nice for HALF the price 😉Facebook_0047This is one of my favorite portrait lenses, the 85mm 1.8! This is also another bang for your buck. ONE day I’ll own the 1.4, but for now this beauty produces great results <3Facebook_0048I recently learned OFC (Off camera flash), so I have two speed lights. I use my SB-700 on camera and my SB-600 off camera.Facebook_0049This is one of two transceivers I own (I could NOT get the other off my stand hahah), They do all the talking to fire that OFC 🙂Facebook_0050Memorrrrrry. Ya need it to operate 😉 I ALWAYS have back ups in this Lifepro case.
Facebook_0051Some other things I always have.. Lens pen, biz cards, and my lens bling for the munchkins 🙂
Facebook_0052This rocket air blaster does a quick clean of my camera’s sensor by sending puffs of air! I don’t carry this in my session bag, bc I do it before hand, but it’s nice to have in my travel bag.Facebook_0053My Session Bag! “The Libby” bag. by Kelly Moore – very spacious. I also own the Two Sues but they had problems with the straps on that bag and they BROKE! *GASP* so I would NOT recommend that bag, just incase they haven’t gotten rid of all the duds! So far, so good with this one, though 🙂Facebook_0054My travel bag by Lifepro. All my gear + Wheels = this girls best friend.
Facebook_0055Some examples with the lenses I use!
