I knew this would be a hard blog post for me to write. I struggle BIG TIME with blogging as it is… But when I am so touched, and at a loss for words… #thestruggleisreal
HAHA!
I gave a little back story on how Tammy and I met in their engagement post, but for those of you just now following along…
One Fall day (hahahah!!) I got an email from a beautiful princess all the way in California. She’d been recommended by someone I’ve never even met (another beautiful princess all the way in California) and she’d found my site. She was interested in my services for her wedding day, but when I mentioned I was in VA she was surprised, as she thought I was on the West Coast! It could have all ended there, but with two adventurous hearts and her supportive finance, and my supportive husband, WE DID THIS THANG! haha!
I could tell we’d get along wonderfully by the way we connected in just a simple email, but I had NO idea what I was in for when I flew out to California to meet them for their Disneyland engagement session.
Long story short: It was INCREDIBLE THEY ARE INCREDIBLE, and I left with three new friends.
After their e-session, I counted down the days until their wedding day. Tammy and I would text, email, I’d send weird videos, she’d laugh… it was fun! hahah
Finally, the day came! Nick and I flew out and the evening we arrived, T+A had us along for their rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. This isn’t usual for me, so I was a bit nervous, but it felt so comfortable and normal. Their family was so kind to us. We laughed and had such a great time. And I cried (big surprise) when they gave me a dress to wear like all the other gals. Sadly, my ninja shooting ways wouldn’t allow me to wear it (photographer butt photo bombs wouldn’t be cute ;)), but I plan on wearing it, because it’s beautiful and it’s SO special (THANKS T + M!!!)!!
It was a beautiful Saturday morning when I went and knocked on the girls’ suite. They were all so relaxed getting ready. They had an ARSENAL of makeup – They are lucky I didn’t try and snag some 😉 Hair was being curled, their wedding sound track was playing.. it was perfect.
After the girls were all dolled up, I headed to the venue to see the finished product and was blown away at how they transformed the space! It was beautiful. Everyone pulled together to make this day SO special! DIY touches everywhere. Disney hints here and there (Little Mermaid, anyone? 😉 And check out the bridesmaids, see any Disney Princess resemblances?!) !
Their ceremony was perfect. Their story was told, they were surrounded by loved ones, “I do”s were said, and Tammy was surprised by a brand new RING to replace the one that was stolen. Oh em gee! Check out her reaction below – WAY TO GO AIDAN!
Oh, Tammy + Aidan, You two are perfect. You’re both so kind and genuine and SO deserving of this beautiful love you have together! I am honored I was chosen to be there to capture all these moments. I will never be able to thank you for having me along on this beautiful adventure. You are so special to me.
I hope you love these!
BIG HUGS!!
