SPRING HAS SPRUNG!
Trees are filling out, flowers are in bloom, the temps are rising and the sun is setting later!
LOVE IT!!!
Since I am primarily a natural light photographer, and prefer to shoot close to sunset to take advantage of that golden hour light, my session times are getting later, because the sunset time is getting later. And I love it- I love having more of the sunshine to enjoy, and it makes weekday sessions easier for folks who work. However, I know that for some this can be a pain in the you know what, and much harder to manage with little ones!
I don’t push shooting until later hours to be mean, parents. 😉 Trust me – I have kids – I know. I do it because it’s the kind of light I LOVE to shoot in. The kind of light you see on my Facebook, instagram and website… That beautiful, soft.. and just plain delicious light! Ha!
So when you inquire and I say “7:30 sound good?” And it just doesn’t sound good, because that’s bath time and you know your little homies are going to be cranky… Don’t panic! There are things we can do!
A later nap? Bribe em with ice-cream? OOOOR…
A sunrise session!
Cue the yawns! haha! I KNOW, I know… it’s early! But hear me out:
You get up a little earlier… You have your session… and then? YOU HAVE THE WHOLE DAY! You have the day ahead of you do whatever it is that you and your family want to do without worrying about someone getting a black eye, staining their brand new shirt, curls falling out, etc etc. Everyone is fresh… And way less stressed 😉
Here are some images from sunrise sessions I have had!
Just something to think about 😉
HAPPY FRIDAY!
