As most of you know, My hubby is leaving soon for a deployment. WOMP WOMP! Big fat sad face. ANYWAY! Knowing how fast kiddos grow and how unpredictable life can be we chose to have family photos taken before he departs.

So, I went on the search for a local family photographer. It was important to me to have *moments* caught on camera. AND it was important to find someone who loves kiddos, bc I have two 2 year olds and a WHOLE LOTTA PATIENCE is necessary! 😉

Erin and I are in a local photog group together, and when I posted my search, she was one of the first to respond. I checked her website and immediately fell in love with her images, they were light and airy, drenched in sun, and natural… just what I was looking for. I knew immediately that I wanted her to be our photographer! And I am SO GLAD the stars aligned and we were able to work it out before he left!!

We chose to have our family session at my Aunt & Uncles Marina. This is a special place to us. We love the water, and I actually used to wash boats there as a teenager. It was perfect. Our munchkins were so tired, and not really feeling the whole photo thing, lol, but Erin still managed to get some great family shots for us. After we knew they’d had enough, my mom took the kiddos and Nick & I snuck away for a *LOVE SESSION* with our fabulous photographer. GAH! I am SOOOO glad we did that. It’s so easy to get caught up in the kiddos, it was nice to have *US* time. Time to snuggle and kiss and laugh… AND we had it captured. <3 <3
