Boy, are there a lot of things I wish I’d known when I first started…  It’s almost impossible to narrow it down to one blog post at a time, so I have been focusing on FAQ for this series (that I am so behind on, sorry!! haha) …

So, here we go!

Staying at home with two little ones and running a business is not always easy. I’m definitely still learning as I go along. However, over the last year I think I’ve found a nice groove in the whole work-at-home-mom gig!!

There are a LOT of things that help help keep this fast moving train on the tracks, but one of the biggest helpers I have is time saving workflow tools!

 

Workflow LIVE SAVERS is what I should call them. Haha!! These are some things I added to my workflow over the last year that have totally helped save me time so I can be a better wife, mom & business owner! I only WISH I’d had them from the start!!!

Blog stomp! You can resize images for web in SECONDS… For REALZ! I will collage and resize an entire blog post in 5 minutes. It also enters key words to help my SEO! WINNING.. Before, it would take me HOURS to do this in photoshop, bc I was so slow at it. lol

Machform! Digital contracts = LIFE SAVER. OMG y’all… amazing little do-dad!  I am able to send out contracts and link retainer payments to my clients with ONE link. They love it, and I love it! And before you paper lovers start to freak, you can easily print for your files 😉

Scheduling Facebook posts! I will schedule blog preview posts and peek posts on my biz page!! Keeps my page active, and saves me from getting on the computer and getting sucked into the www.

ACR Batch editing! Standard editing such as: highlights, exposure, white balance, etc… Take a sequence of photos and batch edit those bad boys before pulling into PS (See a more in depth blog on that here)

Photo Mechanic! I am still new to this program, and have not learned how to use it to it’s full potential, but holy moly guacamole! PM is crazy fast for culling large sessions or events!!! Pick what you like, save it to specific files… pull in to PS and bam!
