I hate to admit it. It’s hard to admit it. ESPECIALLY hard to admit after I wrote a blog post a couple of months ago saying how much I was “IN IT TO WIN IT”.. and wound up not winning. haha!!
I am lazy.
I have just let myself get in a lazy funk. You can just call me Funk nasty fresh. HA!
I have NOT been exercising like I said I would, and I have not had a care in the world about what I put in my mouth, because “I’m an emotional eater” and “my husband is deploying so I can eat whatever I want..” (Like they are empty calories because he’s leaving! HAHAH! DENIAL.)
I realized how much of a funk I was in when I cam across a red pair of shoes. Random, right? haha
Well, those shoes instantly took me back to the days when I cared about how I looked and how I felt. When I saw those shoes in Old Navy I got sad. WHERE IS THE CHRISTINA WHO ROCKED THE RED SHOES and not only looked good, but FELT good???
Well, she just got a little lost. She got lost in love, and becoming a mom of two *at once* and moving 3 times in 6 years, and having to make new friends and become a wife. ALL AMAZING, FABULOUS, BEAUTIFUL things. But… It’s life, and you change… and sometimes you get a little lost.
WELL, HERE I AM PEOPLE! And I am rocking another pair of red shoes. And those red shoes are about to go take a tour of the YMCA.
No more empty promises to myself… just going to take it one step at a time..
In my red shoes. 😉
