Jenn contacted me last year seeking information about my newborn photography. We had a phone consultation to discuss the details, and just over the phone, I could tell that she was my ideal client. She was SO kind, so excited about her session and really valued photography. She said she knew she’d only be this little once and she wanted to be sure she captured her baby girl in those first couple of weeks.

During our email conversations, she mentioned an antique dresser that has been passed down in her family, from her grandmother. She said it was very special, and wanted to incorporate it in Miss E’s session! I was all for it — I just LOVE it when people incorporate special items into their photographs =) While photographing I was told that back in the day, they couldn’t afford cribs for their babies, so they would put their newborns in the drawers of the dresser. HOW NEAT! Some of Emerson’s family members slept in those same drawers, and now she has photos of her in them…. so special.
