Addy’s Special session at The Historic Post Office

I’m not sure where to begin with this special Historic Post Office session.

This past January, the Killingbeck family’s lives changed forever.

Addy, their sweet 4 year old baby girl, was diagnosed with DiPG – a very rare brain tumor.

Addy’s mom, Jessica, is a nurse and works with several of my clients, so as soon as she shared the news with her coworkers they all came together to think of ways to help the family. When they contacted me about doing a special session for the family, there was no question in my mind… I HAD to do this.

Jessica said she wanted nothing more than to be in the photos with her girls and to have them in her wedding dress for a few, other than that it was up to me.

I immediately went on Facebook and reached out to the community, and I asked if anyone had anything to offer for their session. In less than 24 hours we had a cake, flower crowns, a venue, a Photo Booth, professional makeup and videographer.

You guys, these kind hearted vendors brought me to TEARS!

The day of the session, Addy spent her morning at the hospital to have a port placed. When she arrived, she was tired and hungry… but she was greeted by Disney Princesses and Chick-Fil-A nuggets. (THANK YOU HPO!)

We got the girls in makeup and dressed and started their mommy and me session. Daddy came along for some, and we were all SO GLAD he did, because Addy smiled just for him- it was so heart warming.

They played on the bed and feathers went flying!! We got some smiles out of Addy, and all of our efforts came to life and our hearts filled with joy.

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL THE INCREDIBLE PEOPLE WHO GAVE THEIR TIME AND TALENTS TO THIS SPECIAL EVENT:
